Circles of My Life: A Fiber Art Celebration by Jane B. McLean
Belfast fiber artist Jane McLean celebrates 75 years on Earth by telling the story of her life in fabric. Her exhibit of twenty 12-inch richly embellished circular panels depicts people, places, and events which have been significant to her.
All are welcome to join Jane for an opening reception on Thursday December 7th, 4:00-6:00pm. The reception will take place in the Kramer Gallery, light refreshments will be served.
The fanciful pieces are based on traditional Folded Star and Pine Burr patchwork patterns. The panels in the exhibit have QR codes so interested gallery viewers can learn details about their background and construction.
McLean is descended from a long line of accomplished needle workers. She continues the tradition in her small studio, PinchPenny Threads. More information is available at http://www.pinchpennythreads.com/
