EXHIBIT
Circles of My Life: A Fiber Art Celebration of My First 75 Years tells my story in twenty 12" circular panels arranged somewhat chronologically. Four panels depicting Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter guide the viewer along my journey. Using meaningful fabrics and personal embellishments, I loosely follow Rachaeldaisy’s ideas in her book Whizz Bang! Adventures with Folded Fabric Quilts to create scenes based on the traditional Folded Star and Pine Burr patchwork patterns. Currently, up to twelve framed 12" circular fiber art wall hangings are available for display in an exhibit space. Each richly-embellished panel is handmade and based on Folded Star and Pine Burr patchwork patterns. The panels are labeled and have QR codes for more information about each one. The fiber art pieces are not for sale. I am happy to provide assistance with publicity, set-up, and take-down. I can offer a meet-and-greet session with your patrons, as well as a gallery talk about the exhibit. Left: Story of My Life with title and QR code |
