GREGG LAKE
ANTRIM NH

One of my favorite places
on Earth

Picture
   My favorite lake on Earth because of its natural beauty and so many happy memories. We swam here most summer days as children, and my sons did the same. It is a place of fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming lessons, picnics, ice fishing, ice skating, and skinny dipping.

This is a drone’s eye view with fresh water mussels around the shore, surrounded by circles (yoyos) of pickerel weed, reeds, water, rocks, forest, and White Birch Point on the eastern shore.

The shoreline has numerous camps (cottages), many set back among the trees. Our parents used to rent Lakeview AKA Camp Bitch-A-Lot, the site of many chicken fights, cannonballs, family cookouts, and raucous late-night games of Pit.

Construction Details::
   The challenge was to get the large oblong central panel to morph into circles of triangles that would fit within the twelve-inch frame. I created the central lake, overlapped blue plaid triangles like waves until they made a circle, then continued with rows of Pine Burr.
